There is only one way to reset this Pin, and that is to lock the phone so it requires a PUK code.

This is a Cell provider code, and needs to be provided over the phone (due to privacy rules).

You will therefore need to call 0845 412 5000

You will then need to verify yourself and the Code will then be provided that is linked to your account.

Once given, you enter this in to have the phone unlocked again.

I have spoken to the provider and she says our phone is registerd to my daughter and they need to speak to her, is this right? she may not remember pass words, as this was along time a go,

That is correct Karen,

They are only allowed to provide the code to the person the phone is registered to (the legal owner) and they did the right thing.

She wont need the passwords, just to verify herself (date of birth address, ect)

They will then provide here the code.
