yes but its been waiting to sync for ten minutes

ok, hold the power button on the phone for about 6 seconds until you see a menu and choose Power Off.

Then power on the phone and tell me if it is now synching the emails.

I want to make sure we have the settings correct.

Remove the account

Then add it and choose Pop3 Other

Then use these settings

Description: what ever you want to display (can leave blank if you wish)

Display Name: again whatever you want (can leave blank if you wish)

Username: your @btconnect.com email

Email Address: you own email address if you have one set up, otherwise it is the @btconnect.com

Password: whatever your password XXXXX

Server: pop3.btconnect.com

Port: 110

Use SSL: off

SMTP Username: remove whatever is displayd and leave blank

SMTP Passord: again remove whatever is displayed and leave blank

SMTP Server Address: mail.btconnect.com

SMTP Port: 25

SMTP Encryption: Off

Save this and tell me if you can then send please

They can put a delay on the account for the first synch.

ok, remove the account and use these settings when adding it please

Put the name you want people to see when they get mail from you in the Name field.

Enter your BT Business username in the Address field. For example,[email protected] or, where you have registered a custom domain,[email protected]

Enter your BT Business password XXXXX the Password XXXXX

In the Description field enter the name you want to use to identify the account.

Tap Next. If you get an error message at this point, tap OK.

Make sure that POP is selected at the top of the screen.

In the Incoming Mail Server section, change the Host Name to

outlook.office365.com.

Now enter 995 in the Server port and set SSL to on.

Then scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server section and change the

Host Name to smtp.office365.com.

Now enter 587 in the Server port and set SSL to on.

Tap Save.

Your settings will now be verified and you'll then see your Account screen. This may not happen automatically, so simply tap btconnect account to access your email.

I have logged into that site and you say remove the account how do I remove it

Logging into the account was just a test.

You are removing the account from the phone, then adding it back using the values I gave, I have repeated these below.

use these settings when adding it please

waiting for sync is back sorry but my phone is very low on battery

No problem

On your phone, go into the settings menu and click the Data usage option.

At the top right of the screen there are three little squares stacked on top of each other, click that and enable the Auto-sync data.

Restart your device.

Let me know if it now synchs please.
