I havent been able to access internet on my kindle fire for

I haven't been able to access internet on my kindle fire for over a week. I still have internet access at home on my laptop etc so I know the problem isn't my router. Any suggestions as to what the problem is and how it can be fixed?

Hello! Thank you for your question. I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. Please try the following:

1. Disconnect the power cord(s) from your Internet/wireless modem/router device(s) for a few minutes, then reconnect.

2. If you have any cover on the kindle fire, please remove it for now.

3. Press & hold the power on/off button on the kindle fire for about 40 seconds, then turn it back on.

4. Go to the wireless/wi-fi settings on the kindle, then make sure that it is connected to your wireless/network name. If needed, make sure Airplane Mode option is turned off on the kindle fire. Let me know if the kindle is able to see any wireless network name.

If it does not work, please let me know if there is any error or message, and let me know the exact model of your kindle fire, such as kindle fire, kindle fire HD, kindle fire HDX, etc.; please see all the models at the website below:

I have applied your suggested fix but it hasn't worked-still can't access internet-what do you suggest?

Thank you for replying back. In this case, please connect the kindle fire to your computer, and transfer all files/folders from the kindle drive/device to the computer.

Then do a factory reset:

  1. Tap the Quick Settings icon (the gear/wheel icon), then tap More.
  2. Tap Device.
  3. Tap Reset to Factory Defaults.
  4. Then it will let you set up the kindle fire fresh.
