Hi - I am A. Stevens here to help with your question.
I see you are having an issue pairing your Galaxy S4 with bluetooth devices.
Could you please let me know, when you perform a search for bluetooth devices on the phone do you see the available bluetooth devices?
If you do see them, does it allow you to try to connect, and then fail?
Please let me know when you are available so we can continue to work on your question. When you reply here, I will return as soon as possible.
Hi Steven, the phone searches but comes up with nothing.
Hmm, that's very strange.
So since the phone is discoverable, i'm sure that the bluetooth is turned to "ON" on the phone correct?
I would suggest doing a factory restore of the phone to see if that resolves. I would back up your phone first, then restore, then you can restore the data back to it.
Is a good tool to back up and restore your phone.
You can also use Kies to perform the factory restore.
If your bluetooth is still not functioning after the restore...I would imagine that the bluetooth radio on the device may be faulty.
If if is under warranty from Samsung you should be able to get the phone replaced...
the phone does not recognise kies neither.
Are you trying with a USB connection or bluetooth?
If you could please try following this troubleshooting guide for connecting to kies..
It seems that you may be having a communication issue with your device if Kies is not recognizing and your bluetooth also isn't working..
Does your wi-fi connection work?
