Hello, and thanks for your question. My name is ***** ***** I will help you today.

On your phone, go to Play Store and download K-9 Mail app. Open this app and add account. Enter your FULL email address and password. Does it work?

Nick

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Thank you for your email. It took a long time to find the k-9 mail and it is still down loading. When I have tried your suggestion. I will get back to you

Expert:  Nick H. replied 2 years ago.
You are welcomed. Please let me know how it worked out.

Nick

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No this did not work. I installed K-9 mail and it just keeps saying that password ***** is invalid, which is not true. Inbox - syncing disabled . Cannot connect to outgoing server

Expert:  Nick H. replied 2 years ago.
Thanks.

We can try this method.

Open Settings->Accounts->Add account->Email->Other.

Enter your FULL email address and password. Tap Manual Setup.

What info you see on the next screen?

Nick

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

'What type of Account

POP 3

IMAP

Microsoft Exchange Active Sync

Then I chose POP 3 and change my Pop3 server from pop3.cedbusiness.com to mail.cedbusiness.com

Then it states Setup could not finish

Authentication failed

Expert:  Nick H. replied 2 years ago.
Thanks.

When you get to the screen to change the server, what other fields / options did you see?

Nick

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

none just POP 3 server

then the box below is says security tyrpe with none inserted

Underneath another box which states Port number 110

Underneath another box which states , delete email form server and in the box it is marked never

then it is marked NEXT and when I press NEXT it states Setup is not finished etc.

Expert:  Nick H. replied 2 years ago.
Thanks.

On your computer, do you use Outlook to access your email?

If yes, please go to File->Account Settings. Select Email tab. Select your email on the list. Click Settings. Then click Advanced settings. Go to Advanced tab. What do you see there?

I want to see if we are using the same settings as on Outlook.

Nick

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Yes I use Outlook. The advanced settings state incoming sever is port 110 and outgoing server port 25, the rest is the same as I have previously indicated.

I think maybe I could have turned something on/off on the phone, as I have messed around quite with the phone. Maybe we should check that?

Expert:  Nick H. replied 2 years ago.
Thanks so much for your reply.

For user name, did you enter FULL email address and password?

If yes, this mean the Android email system might not support your email settings as we already used the same settings as the Outlook.

Alternatively, you can contact your email or domain provider and ask if they have a work around for Android email setup.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Kindly rate my answer so I can get credit. Thank you!

Nick
