no, it just stared to do this last night

how often does it get power down on its own.
It only stays on if I am listening to , for example, an audio book
It stays on for ten or fifteen mins

If the problem still persists after running a software update then you will have to return the unit to a Samsung service center to get the unit replaced as its under 1 year and its under warrranty
I got it as an upgrade from Vodafone
That is not a problem you will have to take the unit to samsung service center as Vodaphone is your service provider.
This is done later i will guide you.
I live in Portree and any service centre is miles away
If a system update is available, follow the prompts to download and install the update.
Please try the update steps first and we might not have to think about service center as the issue might get fixed.

are you on the home screen on your note 3
touch the menu button
and look for settings icon
clickon that and select general
now look for system update
under general what all options you get
if you are on the settings log look for System do you see system in there
accounts, cloud, backup and reset, date and time, safety assistance, accessory, app manager, default apps, battery, power saving mode, storage, security and about device
Under settings do you see "System"
ok lets go back to the home screen
now touch Settings icon
now under Settings do you see a lost of categories like Wireless & Networks, Devices, Personal, Accounts and System

Click on about device
tell me what all is listed under About device
Next, click the Software update tab.And finally click where it says Update.

and then click on update

how much did it complete
once it completes 100% the Note will require a restart.
after it gets restarted the problem should be fixed.
