A. Stevens :

Hi, I am A. Stevens here to help with your question!

A. Stevens :

The next thing to try would be a factory hard reset.

A. Stevens :

  1. With the Samsung Galaxy TAB 2 i705 turned off, press and hold the VOLUME down button, and then briefly press the POWERbutton. Select Factory reset Wipe data.

Customer:

I have tried this but now I have the android picture saying it's downloading and don't turn it off

Customer:

And now my galaxy tab is refusing to do anything and I think it needs to be repaired!

A. Stevens :

Hi, sorry, I wasn't here when you replied, but there are some other things I can suggest.

A. Stevens :

I just was waiting to see what all you had tried to do.

Customer:

I did the factory reset but it is just stuck on the samsung logo and nothing else happens. I think I killed it :(

A. Stevens :

on your PC, uninstall the Samsung USB Driver & try this version of the Samsung USB Driver on your PC :- http://www.androidfi...926241640220133
try different USB Sockets on your PC, when you try to connect your Tab to the PC
(USB sockets at the rear of towers work best)

can you put your Tab into "Download Mode" ?

To boot the tablet into Download Mode, do the following:
- switch the device off;
- wait a bit;
- press and hold, at the same time, Volume Down and Power;
- stop when the logo of Android pops on the display;
- press Volume Up.

if you can, on your PC download Odin3 from :- http://forum.xda-dev...21&d=1341114315
expand the zip file & run the Odin3 v3.07.exe as an Admin by using the right-click method on odin.exe file and afterwards on “Run as administrator”

plug the tablet to your comp and wait for “Added!!” and a COM port painted yellow; if they don’t appear, the plugging did not go well, so you have to either flash the USB Drivers one more time or use a different USB port.

if successful, your PC should show Odin, with Tab connected, like this (with yellow COM port):

if you have got this far & your Odin looks as above, the next step is to Flash the Firmware,

as your in the UK & with the SM-T210 Tab, try Sammobile :- http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/

enter SM-T210 in "Search Device Here",
select : SM-T210 United Kingdom 2013 December 4.1.2 T210XXAMKF T210OXXAMK2
(you need to "LOGIN or JOIN" to download the Firmware to your PC)

once downloaded, expand the .zip file & use the .tar.md5 file (step 6) as shown in this tutorial :- http://donandroid.co...roid-device-634

Customer:

We have tried the links you sent but they only take you to an Amazon sales page. there is a link taking you off to download a driver but not from the Samsung site. The other link requests you to register then fails to register your login making it a bit seem very suspect.

Customer:

We have tried booting into Download Mode with no joy it just blinks a picture of a battery.

A. Stevens :

You are unable to get the Andriod logo to come up?

A. Stevens :

Are you connected to power at this time?

Customer:

OK Managed to get Tablet into Download Mode and have got Odin installed but keep getting 502 Bad Gateway each time I attempt registration with Samsung Do/s download site.

A. Stevens :

What step are you on when you get this error?

Customer:

Thank you, ***** ***** and running again now, thank you for your help :)
