Is this email going thru Gmail? if not who is your email carrier?

Hey John,
Lets go to Settings>>accounts>>sellect the email account and check that you have these settings
SMTP
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com
Port: 465 (this may not be automatically populated on selection of SSL, so you'll need to check this)
SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS)
Authentication: PLAIN
Username: your email address including the @ btinternet or @ btopenworld.com part
Password: your btinternet password
If you do not please use these and let me know if you are able to send emails.

I can send but not receive. It says authentification failed

Are you able to get on a computer and go to this site and log in to your email

It sounds like you need to reset your password.
Try this link on your computer and let me know if you are able to access your email on the site with the same credentials.

tried the email still not working

Let's go to settings>>apps>>find the email app and clear data. Then we will restart the phone. Let me know when this is done.
