Hi, I am A. Stevens here to help with your question!
At this time, you would need to perform a factory reset of the device.
Since you cannot get it to load now, you wouldn't be able to back it up at this moment, but if you were syncing with your Google account before you will be able to restore all of your data without issues.
This is how to perform a factory reset, without being able to get the device to load.
Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power keys, until the Samsung logo appears.Scroll down using Volume Down and choose Wipe Data/Factory Reset, by pressing the Power Key.Scroll down (using the Volume Down key) and choose Yes – delete all user data and confirm with Power Key.Wait for the phone to reboot.
Carried out the above instruction on my Samsung S2 Mini Galaxy GT S6500. I have had this model for 2 years and this fault occurred out of the blue following no other separate procedures that I have not used before.
When I attempted to hold down the Home/Start and Vol. up it simply carried on with yet another opening procedure to the blue Logo screen - then stopped and repeated the entire process again.
I have tried to load -or download attaching the phone to Kies - still no luck. By chance when holding the Vol down key I receive the little 'green' man and the option to download ?whatever? still no luck
At the moment it will continue to reload the opening screen until I take out the battery or it runs out of 'steam'!
By the way, When I hold down the required keys/buttons to hopefully do a factory reset - there is NO screen instructions to scroll down to and therefore I am unable to accept the instructionWipe/Data Reset - Can u help
Hi, yes, let's try something else.
Seems as if your device is now in download mode.
I'll send some instruction on how to fix this.
I look forward to that - thanks
So there is a software called ODIN that can help you to manually load the factory firmware on the device.
Here is the guide on how to use ODIN: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ambassador-guides-tips-how-tos/300296-guide-samsung-how-flash-stock-rom-via-odin.html
You can download ODIN here: http://odindownload.com/
Here is a link to download the Firmware: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/29852/I9100XXMS7_I9100OXAMS7_XEO.zip/
Please let me know if you encounter issues with this process.
