my nephew has forgotten the pass code he entered on his archos

my nephew has forgotten the pass code he entered on his archos 8 child play tablet. I understand it now has to be re set to factory setting. How do I do this?

Customer:

yes you will have to do a factory restore to the tab to make it work again

Customer:

there are two combinations you can try to activate either one will work.

JACUSTOMER-gsuhsdpc- :

ok then Michelle thanks about Factory reset but how do I do the Reset

Customer:

press and hold down the up arrow volume key and held it down and then press the power button and keep it held down till you see an android robo on the screen then you release both the keys

Customer:

you will see reset to factory option in the list

Customer:

use the down arrow to highlight the reset option and once it is highlighted press the up volume button which acts like select or enter buttom

Customer:

this will take 5 to 10 mins it will restore the tab to the factory setting and you will be able to use is just fine.

Customer:

if the up volume and power button dont work then try the down volume and the power button combination to launch the reset options.

Customer:

let me know if you find any problem.

tried the 1st step several times and all that happens is the tablet turns off

you will have to press and hold down the volume up arrow and then press hold the power button

OK its not Michelle's fault her advise didn't work, but it certainly wasn't worth £20.00. Thanks away I won't be so quick to part with my cash next time.
