Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.
The system files are corrupted. If you are unable to get on to menu, then you will have to factory reset it unfortunately. You will lose everything from it if you factory reset it. That is your only way to get back to you tab. Follow the steps below to factory reset it.
Turn it off.
Press and hold the Volume Down and Power at same time and you'll see the word "Start" with an arrow around it.
Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight "Recovery mode."
Press the Power button to start Recovery mode. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark and the words "No command."
While holding down the Power button, press and release the Volume Up button once.
Select "wipe data/factory reset" using volume down buttons and then press the Power button to select it.
Select "Yes - erase all user data," then press the Power button to select it.
After the reset is complete, select the option to reboot your device.
Please let me know if that didn't work, so we can continue troubleshooting.

Iheld the 2 swicthes as you suggested and words flashed across the top of the screen but stopped before I had chance to do the twice volume press. For a time the little green machine that appears on the screen when doing something or other appeared. It has now vanished and the tablet is absolutely dead - will not even switch on.

Press and hold down down the Power button for 10-15 seconds and it should restart. Then try the steps again.
