My nexus7 has suddenly crashed and I cant get the wifi running

Resolved Question:

my nexus7 has suddenly crashed and I cant get the wifi running again I have put in the password ***** it makes no difference
I tried rebooting it , no change
My server is Sky after putting in the password ***** says saved but after a few seconds it goes back to connecting.
I cant get out of this cycle

Can you go power off the Nexus so it is completly off.
Then remove the power to the wifi router.
Wait 5 minutes
Then power on the wifi router and wait 5 minutes.
Then try to connect the Nexus to wifi and see if it now connects.

google is updating automatically does this mean wifi is connected
