As I said in my original question, I have tried to get the Bluetooth connection going by simply following the instructions. There was a connection and I could receive calls but I could not make calls, neither was there any information on my audio unit screen, such as 'contacts' and 'caller' ID' Obviousely this was no good to me.
On my last phone it was all there and easy to use - even for an old git like me.
Well - I did as you suggested. In short, unfortunately it didn't work.
As soon as I got in the car and switch on the radio the phone said it was connected and the symbol appeared on the radio screen. So far so good.
I pressed the phone button on the radio and it said 'no data'. To make matters worse my phone was frozen and only started working again after five minutes.
I think maybe the phone's no good.and will need to go back.
I did as you suggested. All seemed to go well - during the connection phase the phone asked if the PINs matched, and they did.
When I selected the phone option the radio came up with 'No Data' and the phone froze - it's still in that state but I expect it to recover in a few minutes.
