Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.
Your phone is stuck at bootloop and it is also called soft-brick. Now you have to manually download the firmware file and use the Odin application to flash that firmware to your Note 3.
On your computer, download and install Samsung Kies application from here --> http://www.samsung.com/in/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/
Then download the correct firmware for your phone from here : http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
(In the above site, enter the exact model number of your device and click Search button. From the resulting page, download the correct firmware version you want)
After you have downloaded it, you will get a zip file. Open it or extract it and you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files. The tar file is the firmware file.
Then follow the steps below.
Download the Odin application from here : http://www.mediafire.com/?7v7zor9d379emeg
or from here --> http://odindownloader.com/dload/Odin3_v3.10.6.zip
Then open Odin application and follow these steps below;
Put the phone to Downloading mode. To do that, turn off the phone. Turn it on and immediately hold down Volume Down and Power at the same time to boot into downloading mode. Volume Up to confirm if asked.
Then connect the phone to the computer with the USB cable. A message saying "Added!!" will appear in Odin's message box at the bottom left of screen.
Click the PDA Button, and choose the .tar.md5 file (the firmware file)
Make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options are enabled. Also make sure the Re-Partition checkbox is not selected.
Don't make any changes to Odin. Click Start. Let Odin finish the process. Once it finished, it will show a Pass in the top left. Please let me know how it goes.
Make sure you download the correct firmware file for your phone. Also when you do this, you will lose everything from the phone. Let me know how it goes.
Refer this Youtube video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ulz-1UYzHBA
(the first part of video that is the firmware downloading part might be a little different when you do it now)
Please let me know if that didn't work, so we can continue troubleshooting.

Hi I i'm stuck at opening zip file. im getting message that windows doesnt recognise program - which is tar file? Also I don't want everything wiped from my phone without saving it - that would be disastrous!

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
Hello Safiyya, sorry for the delay. You don't have to open the tar file. That is the firmware you are going to install on your phone with Odin.
Your phone is already stuck in bootloop, so I believe flashing with Odin is the only way. The other way is factory reset from recovery which will also erase everything from it.
Didn't you sync with the phone with Google or Samsung ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

no i didnt sync. very foolish of me. is there no way to save contents?

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
Unfortunately No. Rooting is basically messing up with system files and this would happen if anything goes wrong.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

ok so does odin file extract itself ....there are no steps

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
Right click on Odin file and select Extract here. Then open Odin and follow the steps I sent you to flash the firmware
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

there is no extract instruction. there is a folder and i open and there are 4 files....folder says odin307

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
That is the folder. Open the Odin application
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

ok just to check is this process definitely going to delete my data? should i take my phone to a shop and let them try?

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
Yes, flashing the firmware will erase everything from it. Try this. Boot into Android recovery, clear the cache and then do a safe boot. If you are lucky, I mean if you are very lucky, then you will be able to boot into safe mode. Turn off the phone. Remove the battery. Put it back. Then hold down Volume Up, Power and Home at same time and this will boot into Android recovery. Then clear cache from there (volume buttons to connect and power button to confirm selection). The reboot system now and immediately hold down Volume Down for 20 seconds and this will boot into safe mode. If it still stuck at safe, then you have to flash it using Odin. But Yes, take it to the store. If they have any advanced tools, then might be able to recover the data for you.

i've done that and highlighted reboot system now....held down for 20 seconds....now what? its on same system recovery page...should it do something after 20 seconds?

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
You have to enter reboot system now. After selecting reboot system now, press power to confirm and then hold down Volume Down for 20-30 seconds
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

ok that didn't work. if i show to someone shall i take SD card out?

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
Nothing from the SD card will be removed. You can take it out and keep aside until you fix this.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

And everything from sim will be wiped?

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
The contacts in the SIM will not be wiped. Only the contents from the internal storage will be wiped. You can take out the SIM as well.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

ok i will take to a shop. if they are going to do what you suggested then i will do it myself. I will be in contact once done or unless I'm stuck again! Thank you for you help

Hi the phone is with a shop, but the wipe hasnt worked and it still isn't going beyond samsung logo.

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
wipe cache or flashing with odin ? Which one hasn't worked ?
Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
If Odin doesn't work, then make sure you've downloaded the correct firmware for your model and country. If you tell me the exact model number of your Note 3, then I will find the correct firmware for your model
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Hi the phone service centre have fixed phone, as I was finding it very time consuming. Of course I lost all of my data. Thanks for help

Expert:  Ashik replied 1 year ago.
I'm sorry that you lost your data. To make sure this won't happen again, you can backup using Dropbox, Google Drive etc.
Setup Dropbox or Google Drive and all your files can be backed up to it. Also, make sure you enable automatic syncing and backup to Samsung and Google account.
Best Regards,
Ashik
