Many thanks, XXXXX XXXXX afraid to say both lids have a small chip otherwise excellent both were a wedding present from my great grand-mother to my mum. would they be worth anything

Depending on how visible the chips are on the lid, then the value should not be really decreased. If the chips are on the underside along the rim, that is not uncommon to find on pieces of this material and age.

On today's market Malvern Colonial tureens sell for $100 - $200 at auction.
