I have two rare books (Volume 1 and 2) - Ti-Ping Tien-Kwoh

Customer Question

I have two rare books (Volume 1 and 2) - Ti-Ping Tien-Kwoh The history of the Ti-ping revolution 1866 by Day & Sons London. They are hard back books with all of the original pages and in good condition.
I am looking to sell both books therefore, I am wondering whether anybody could help me with the value of the books and where I could sell them.
I look forward to hearing from someone soon.
Many Thanks

Hi, This set retails for $3000 - $4000 on today's market. I recommend trying to get these placed in a rare and antique specialty book auction. Here are some suggestions of companies to contact: Bauman's Rare Books in Manhattan - PBA Rare Book Auctions in San Francisco: Swann’s Auction Galleries: Bloomsbury London: Heritage Auctions: Australian Book Auctions: Dominic Winter Auctions: Bonham’s Book and Manuscripts Dept: Contact all of them, if possible for you, regardless of the company location. This will also help you get a consensus opinion on the value and estimates. Approach each one as if you are interested in selling through them. Auction houses take a percentage of the final sale price, so it is in their best interest to sell it for a premium bid. Please take a moment to leave a rating by clicking the stars.
