Maytag Gas Dryer Model # XXXXX At end of IntlliDry cycle buzzer stays on. Turn the timer to any other type of cycle (timed, air fluff or permanent press) and the dryer starts without pushing the Start button. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hiya,AIt sounds like you may have a problem relay, bad switch(short) or bad control panel.Unfortunetly you will need hands on tech to diagnose this on location. This is a very good machine and well worth the repair cost.
I do two way radio repair and am not afraid to get in there. But I'm not sure what I'm looking for or how the circuit is supposed to work.
HiYa,Mike This is not a do it your selfer. You need an experienced hands on tech on location. There are to many variables here. I just told you the most common things that it may be.Timer may be defective and need to be replacedPower resistorOn some models, there is a resistor connected to the timer that will allow voltage to the timer motor during the off cycle of the heat source. This is used mainly on the automatic dry cycle on the timer. If the resistor is defective, the timer will not advance during the automatic dry cycle, but will advance during the timed dry cycleHeat elementIf the dryer is set for the auto cycle, the temperature must reaching the level of the operating thermostat in order for the timer motor to advance. Check for proper operating temperature from the from the heating system.Possibilities Shorted Sensor (some Models)Thermostat (automatic cycle only)Timer control boardI.can39882.5375064815
