self cleaning G.E. built-in ovenI did the self-cleaning and all went well with the cleaning but the door is still lockedand the oven isn't hot but you can hear the timer running. I hit the off button butthe door still stays locked.
set the oven for self clean and turn on and after you hear the door lock down then cancel the self clean and wait 20 minutes and open the door ,, the latch hung when trying to unlock or you tired to open the door to soon / thanks
nope, did not work....the door is still locked
does it show a error on the control panel
no, it doesn't show an error on the control panel.
I think we're going to turn off the power to the oven and call a repair man
tomorrow.
We had a suggestion from another source to let it go through the cleaning time again
but I worry with as much heat as emits...it might burn out the oven...is that possible?
you can take a clothes hanger and make a hook in one end and slide it in from the right side and hook the latch and pull to the right and unhook the latch
We're going to wait 'til the oven cools & try your hanger so it'll probably be around
10:00 p.m. Oklahoma time. We'll let you know how it works..
thats the same time as we are so i will be here / thanks
