fridgidaire a/c mdl FAH12EP2T1: compressor or heat come on, fan does not. worked fine last fall on heat and last summer on a/c. less than a year out of the box...
Make: fridgidairea/cModel: FAH12EP2T1 Already Tried: cover off, fan free, no apparent corrosion, unplugged fan, no power out to fan
hi so the compressor comes on but the fan doesnt even if yoiu set it on low cool
Doesn't even come on with just fan selected...
hi ok is the control board electronic
yes
hi normally when these electronic ac units are stored that control panel parts stick on the board sometimes ants get in the electrical parts . chance are that fan relay on the board is bad nothing else
it wasn't stored over the winter and there's NO chance ants got in it. It worked last Nov on heat until it got too cold and I switched to my regular heat source. I was an avionics tech on F-4's and F-14's and have a very good grasp of electronics but no schemaqtic or test equipment besides a multimeter. I need to get this fixed before our wonderful 110 degree heat gets here in 2 months or so or can it and get another one
the board controls everything as you know
And?...the relays I see are hardwired not plug-in. What kind of voltage actuates them before I go sticking meter leads in there or should I pull the board and dend it somewhere to be run over a bench and if so, where?
you should pull the board and take it to get checked at least to see if its worth the fix or replace the board or unit
Where do I need to send it? Woodward, OK where I live certainly does't have anyone or anyplace to take it...
esequiel, did you receive my last question?
hi you might find some company if any in oklahoma city problem is the control board may cost more than the unit itself it may not be worth the fix but replacing it instead
