We purchased a Maytag front load washer, Model No. MHWE450WW on December 2, 2010. It was professionally installed by a contractor utilized by Home Depot. Both the washer and the dryer were installed on pedestals. From the first usage, we have experienced substantial vibration and exccessive noise. We called Maytag Customer Service and they recommended a local service company to repair it. They determined that the inner basket was loose and it was repaired on January 4th. A new inner and outer basket, front and rear, along with a new pulley was installed.Since the repair, we feel that the vibration and noise level has changed very little. We don't believe this is normal and we are very disappointed. What are your thoughts?
That`s rather hard to answer ,since I can not hear the unit in operation .
But if they have replaced all thoses parts ,then you have more or less a new unit.
You need to realize that front load washers sound like a train coming at you when getting up to speed and slowing down from high speed spin .
and of course with it on a pedestal ,you have raised the center of gravity ,which will cause it to vibrate even more.
And you as the customer ,have to wash differently with a front loader .
you need to wash like item (meaning they need to weight approx the same when the get wet ).one heavier item can cause the machine to be out of balance.
