I purchased a openbox washer from best buy. there were no visible damages at the time of the purchase. After the delivery people left, I found a piece of paper from best buy indicating some damages in the unit. The piece of paper ( never seen before ) shows the demages, my last name, date and a signature that it was not mine. ( the sales people at best buy signed it on my behalf ) Is there anything I can do about it ?
Optional Information: Make: Maytag. Already Tried: I spoke to the manager and requested an explanation. The manager just offered an credit store.
Hello I'm Larry and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.contact the manager at best buy or Maytag and tell then whats going on that they have to make it good ,, even being a open box you still have a full one year all parts and labor warranty on it ,, thanks
I did. Since the unit is no longer available they offered a store credit.
but what about the ilegal document they came up with. Isn't it a fraud ?
i would say it is if you didnt sign it yourself ,, it dont matter if its not any longer available they have to honor the warranty ,, call maytag customer service and thay will make them honor it or quit dealing with them and they dont want that
again, the unit has been descontinued. they wont replace it. they do not have it anymore. any other ideas ?
they will have to send someone out to repair it ,, just because it has be discontinued does not mean the parts and cabinet has been ,, don't let them give you a run around and you have a 30 day return if you want itEdited by Larry on 1/31/2011 at 3:03 AM EST
I think you are right.
Finaly,
do you think a legal action will be worth it to prevent best buy from doing the same towards customers in the future ?
to tell you the truth i would say no, best buy is to big a company like sears, it would be a waste of time and money
