I have a 2005 year model Whirlpool Quiet Partner II Dishwasher that still won't run after replacing the heating element and then the main wash motor just now. It still has the clean light flashing 7 times and then pause and then another 7 flashes, etc. When I punch in a cycle and hit start it just cancels out and goes back to flashing the clean light. The drain pump does run if you hit drain so I don't know what else it could be.Please tell me what else could be wrong in this situation. Thanks in advance,Richard ByersEdmond, Oklahoma
Optional Information: Make: Whirlpool Quiet Partner II Model: DU 1100XTP56 Already Tried: Replaced the heating element first and it didn't work. Then I saw that the main wash motor was caroded and would not turn so I bought a new motor and put it in. Still no luck. I don't understand it at all. Does any one have any ideas what else could be wrong?
You need to reset the control to stop the flashing otherwise it will not work. Press in order- hi-temp, air dry, hi temp, air dry (OR whatever similar button you have on this model to correspond to what I have listed). All lights will come on and a test cycle will start. Once the test cycle starts you can cancel it and the unit will be set to run again unless a fault recurs with the heating which it should not as the failed motor caused the issue in the first place.
