Hi--I have a GE electric range purchased in April 2010. Model Number: J-B8505P1SS, Serial Number: T5273792Q. Yesterday the "on" light stayed on after I had turned off the back burner, right-hand side. I turned off the stove at the circuit breaker box. This range has been repaired *twice* for problems with the back burners, once in May 2010, the next time in December 2010. I cannot reach anybody at the GE customer service number (1-XXX-XXX-XXXX).

Okay, this is the 3d time this thing has happened w/in the first year, and my warranty expired on April 1--I'm a little ticked. Is this range a lemon?? Is this a problem common to new electric ranges? Can I safely use the other three burners until the tech gets here?

you can use all the burners without problem, the indicator like is just saying the burner is on and it cant read when its off ,, you can tell if the burner is hot or not ,, i see this on all makes and models
