Response From Expert

Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX X am here to assist you. Every microwave has an internal fuse. This is a main power fuse and if it goes bad for whatever reason you will lose all power to the microwave. To access the fuse depends on what type of microwave you have. Is your microwave a counter top or an over the range model?

Expert's Answer

Okay, on your microwave, you will have to take off the top grill by removing two screws on top of the microwave. Then when you get that done you will have to remove the control panel by taking out the screw at the top of the control panel. After you get them off you will see the fuse. It will be either white or black (typically white). It is a 20amp fuse and make sure when you get another one you say a microwave fuse. You should be able to get the fuse at any place that sells fuses. Hope this helps and I am here for further assistance. Thank you, Randy.

Accepted Answer

No, I am sorry, I should have stated. It is behind the control panel in the "cavity" of the microwave.
