Our Fisher Paykel Washer Aquasmart stopped in the middle of a cycle. It was a large load. We haven't been able to get the electronic display to come on since. I press the power button but nothing happens. I've checke the power outlet and it provides power, i.e. it operated my hand drill.I've unplugged the power for a minute or two and then after reconnecting the power pressed the power button down and held it down of 3-5 seconds and still no display.Do you have any suggestions.Jim Wade
Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today. There is no fuse or anything that would cut power to the entire unit as long as your washer is getting power from the house. Unfortunately this means that your control board under the control panel in the back right corner has just shorted and will need to be ordered and replaced. Tip the washer backwards and look for the fan blade at the bottom of the drain pump. Spin the blade to make sure the pump is spinning freely because often if the drain pump get jammed and the fan doesn't spin smoothly, this will short out the control board completely.
