I have a 2005(approximate) Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher. I can't seem to start the unit using any of the "sensing wash CYCLES".Press ANY of the cycle choices, nothing happens. Also, nothing happens if you press "Delay Hours 2-4-6" button(but maybe a cycle has to be successfully selected first?). Pressing any of the OPTIONS buttons work(Hi-Temp, Air Dry, Cancel/Drain). Unit has power, that's not a problem. This is a "before they had displays" type dishwasher.
Optional Information: Make: Whirlpool Model: Quiet Partner II Already Tried: Checking for a tripped circuit breaker, pressing ANY of the wash CYCLE choices, pressing delay-hours button, pressing ANY of the OPTIONs choices
Hello,The only thing that would cause this issue is the touch pad. The touch pad assembly is sensing a stuck or shorted key. You need to replace the touch pad to fix the dishwasher friend
Okay, whirlpool model number is XXXXX Searched a couple sites online, didn't see anything called a "touch pad". How about control panel? Would that be the component I'd need to replace?
Yes that is it. The part with the actual buttons
