I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II. I've noticed that the things on the top rack are not getting clean. It's as though the washer under the top rack is not even working. Any ideas? It is almost 10 years old.Thanks,Wanda

This dishwasher has a very fine mesh screen filter as you can see in the link below.CLICK HEREIf the filter starts getting clogged, it will stop the dishwasher from cleaning the top rack because it can't produce enough pressure. The best thing to do is to had pan of boiling water into the dishwasher (no dishes inside) and pour in 4 cups of white vinegar. Just let the dishwasher sit for about 30 minutes and then start a normal cycle. It it run through the cycle and the dishwasher should be clean by time the cycle is done.

If cleaning the screen doesn't fix the problem, then you need a new pump and motor assembly which is not easy to replace, nor is the part cheap.
