I have a Fisher & Paykel Washer Model #WA37TG1 that will not drain. I have checked the drain hose and didn't see an obstruction, no water is backing up the drain. I washed an older rug that unraveled and I am thinking maybe that some of the yarn may be inside the pump.
Optional Information: Make: Fisher & Paykel Model: WA37TG1 Already Tried: I took the Agitator off.
Hey i will help you. First unplug the machine . Get a cup and get enough water out of the tub so you will be able to tilt the unit back. Leave the hoses and stuff hooked up and slide the unit out and tilt it back where you can look under it. Locate the drain pump. It will have a black impeller on the bottom of it. Unplug the ground wire and the other plug on the drain pump. Get a small bowl or something and undo the black rubber hose and let water start draining out. Get as much water out as possible so when you take loose the pump so water doesn't go everywhere. Once you get the water out it is time to remove the drain pump and check for blockages. On the drain pump you will see a white tab hold the back and untwist the drain pump. The tab has to be pressed back to release the pump. It is a locking tab. Once the pump untwist loose now remove any blockage. You will probably find pieces of the rug caught in here. I have seen this happen all the time. Once you remove the pieces of rug insert the pump back in the grooves and twist it back on and the tab will lock in place. Plug in the connections and you should be able to turn the black impeller freely. Hope this helps and please remember to click accept. Thanks David
