I have an H2O MFI 2568AES refrigerator with a broken part. The ice bucket will not latch into its enclosure because the prongs on the enclosure are broken. The ice maker functions perfectly - I just cant secure the bucket.
Optional Information: Make: maytag Model: mfi2568aes Already Tried: I've tried 3 other repair parts services on line to identify the part, but they all keep referring me to the ice bucket - which is not eh problem. It looks like the enclosure that the ice maker assembly and bucket sit in is part of the chassis - and inside this enclosure is a plastic liner that has 2 sets of prongs - on each side that secure the ice bucket one you slide it back into the enclosure - this is the part i need to replace.
Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today. You're talking about the tabs on the tracks inside the refrigerator liner where the ice is made? Not on the ice bucket itself?
not on the ice bucket- but the ice bucket attaches to these tabs on the front of the enclosure. they appear to be part of the entire liner of the enclosure for the ice maker, as in one piece, liner and tabs and also has the tracks that the ice bucket slides onto
ok well that part is un-replacable I'm afraid to say that's why you can't replace the part. Some parts are just not replacable and this happens to be one of them. If you have a complaint about it then you'd need to talk to Maytag customer service.
