My Fisher & Paykel washer (Model GWL15) is leaking water. It appears to be coming from the pump (Part# XXXXX). However, is this an easy fix or is there possibly another source of the water leak? The pump shows signs of a small dripping of water when the washer is not operating. Also there is some rust signs on the pump. Thanks for your help.
Optional Information: Make: GWL15
Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today. This is an easy job but please, unplug your washer right now and stop using it until you replace the pump. The pump only takes about 10-15 minutes to replace but it's very common that it will start leaking and short out your main control board which is also very easy to replace but very expensive as well. To replace the pump just tip the unit back so you can see the pump. Unplug the 2 wires that go to your pump and then push in the plastic release tab. The entire pump will twist counter clockwise 1/4 turn and the pump will pull off so you can clip in the new pump.
