I have a Stirling (Aldi) wine fridge that has recently developed a fault in that it will not maintain a cool temperature. I set it to 11c and it settles at somewhere between 21c and 25c. I have unplugged it and let it rest for a few days but I get the same result - inadequate cooling for my wine.
Optional Information: Make: Stirling Model: TW-16Q Already Tried: resetting the temperature. Switch off and let rest for a few days. Re-power and set temp to desired 11c
hello, when you reset the unit ,can you confirm that the compressor and the fans are running? thx
How can I tell? The light is on in the fridge, and it sounds like it is working
I have just plugged it back in. The light is on, the temperature gauge is on. I switched it to centigrade and pressed the down arrow to lower the temp. I can't hear any sound from the device
at the rear of the unit is the fan running ? and the black dome is that running? should be warm
I can't hear any sound. I'll check the black dome now and get back to you in 1 minute
I can now hear a sound and, on touching the black dome, I can feel it vibrate/pulsate
Im afraid if everthing is running and you are not getting proper cooling that you have a sealed system problem , a freon leak ..most likely..check the sealed system warranty on your manual to see if it is covered? if not? it is most likely not worth repairing
