I have an Amana Radarange microwave hood. The model # XXXXX XXXXX Manufacture date is August 2003. Lights work, fan works but no microwave cooking. Could there be a fuse inside that a homeowner could replace? I looked through my owners manual and find nothing referenced. The power level is 100%, the door is closed and it will not heat even a cup of water.
Optional Information: Make: Maytag, Amana radarange Model: ACO1860AB Already Tried: Just the suggestions in the manual.
Hello,This is a fairly common issue on these units. If everything else works but no heat, you have a bad magnetron. The mag is what produces the actually microwaves. The mag is also a high voltage component so it is dangerous to replace without high voltage experience. The repair on average runs around $300
