Dish/glass/utensils are left with a white fairly stuck on film. Unit was run several times empty to remove any soap build up and was cleaned with dishwasher magic. Unit then was very clean. Water is soft (<25 ppm) Soap is Cascade crystals (use less than 2 TSP) Jet dry rinse agent. Unit was working perfect until last week. Heating element works but we do not heat to dry. We mostly use pot scrubber mode. Some areas effected worse than others, top center right and lower front right seem to be the worst. Any idea what the problem might be?

Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today. This can be caused for two reasons, either you have a detergent issue or your disposal screen is getting clogged and needs to be cleaned out. Below is a link to a video that will show you how to clean out your disposal and take your pump apart.CLICK HEREhttp://vimeo.com/5733474If that doesn't fix your problem then it sounds like you'll need to use an additive called "Glass Magic" or baking soda to help the dishes clean (baking soda is the home remedy and doesn't work as well as Glass Magic). About 6 months ago, detergent companies changed their formulas and removed phosphates in the detergent due to regulations which makes them not perform well at all. Go to the two links below and you can read why your dishes are going to bad. The 2nd one is a video from my local news that aired recently.CLICK HERECLICK HERE FOR VIDEO
I don't think the detergent is a issue, we are in the middle of a box. That hasn't changed in the last 2 weeks. I forgot to mention I had a service tech take apart and clean screen (which was not dirty). This unit has no dials just a solid state touch pad. It almost appears that after the cleaning cycle is done, momentarily high detergent concentrated water gets drizzled over a couple of areas of the dishes/glasses and is not rinsed but left to dry simulating paint runs.
If the screen is definitely clean and you're just getting drizzling over a few of the glasses, then unfortunately it sounds like your pump and motor assembly would need to be ordered and replaced. This part isn't a cheap part. It's about $150 or so---but that would be the only other thing that would affect the cleaning aside from detergent issues.
The food debris is cleaned from the dishes. The dishes appear to have been cleaned, then the drizzle devil picks a couple or areas to play. Do you think it is a pump issue or more a timing order misfire! I have opened the door during mid cycle and it seems like water has been spraying everywhere. Thanks
There isn't a "timer order" on this unit. If water is definitely being sprayed everywhere (put a cup in each corner of the dishwasher on the top rack to see if they fill) then you definitely have a detergent issue and you'll want to pick up some Glass Magic.
