peforma washing machine model PAV910AWW malfunctioned just before spin cycle. It did not drain and smells of burning rubber. How can I get in the washer and look at it?
Optional Information: Make: Peforma Model: PAV910AWW Already Tried: Took clothes out of washer and tried to pry front panel off to look and see. I don't want to bend heck out of it so I stopped.
Sorry Jon:
The model is: PAVT910AWW.
OK....is that it?
You want me to do that now while you hold??
Roger.
I understand. North Pole Alaska to be exact. The belt is eaten up. Many, many shavings and it slips when I turn it. It seems loose and I can easily put it on and off. No clicking sounds. It will move either way.
I didn't look.
OK. There were three pulleys. I'll look on the right front.
I'm from Boston originally...came up here on a us coast guard icebreaker back in the 70's. I stayed......the pulley turns very freely either way and it can be pushed in and out freely as well......the belt is really eaten up.
It's -36 below right now.
Where in New York?
My family got started in Queens around the turn of the century and migrated from there.
Thanks very much. I appreciate your time.
Italian?? We were Polish. That's America.

Thank you again for accepting my answerPlease email me back if you need my help getting the belt Owen it arrives to you.You can email me back here if you need anything else. Or just log back into the website and request me. Either way will do.Thanks again.
Hi Jon:
I am going to order the belt on Monday. The appliance stores (in Fairbanks, Alaska) were all closed today so I couldn't see if they had it. I'm sure getting the belt will cure the problem since we troubleshot the issue and that seems the most plausible.
I will call the one Maytag outfit in town on Monday to see if they have the belt. If not, I will order it from the websites you provided. Of course, I won't know how it all turns out until I install the belt (I have your instructions). I thank you for the help and I appreciate very much your assistance.
Interesting day in football coming up. Of course, Mass comes first and the AFC Championship begins at 1100 our time (4 hours behind civilization or Eastern Time).
Take care of your and yours.
Thank you again for accepting my answer.I did some research today on what parts warehouses have the part in stock. It seems that marcone has the part in stock in the closest warehouse o you is in California. And they should ship it out to you and be received by Wednesday if ordered on Monday. Then I checked at amazon.com and they have it in stock as well. And for less then half the cost. Just don't know what they would charge for shipping. So you might want to try there first. Just type in search part the part description nd part number. Like washer belt part number 21352320 and it should come up.You may also want to check the drain pump since that usually goes as well as the belt. The drain pump is part number 35-6780 and is about $90 at marcone. But at amazon it is around $35 -$50.So if you would like to order that as well you can do so.Please let me know how everything works out.It will certainly be a busy day for football. I know you will rooting for the patriots. But don't feel bad when I say let's go big blue!Talk to you soon.
Hey Jon:
I got that belt, installed it and we're back in business! God bless you, man. You saved me a lot of time off from work and money so I want to leave you another tip.
I appreciate your assistance.
Patriots/Giants just like I thought. It's the way it should be.

Hey Stan,I am glad that I could help you out. And save you some time and money. It was really my pleasure. If you would like to leave me another tip I believe that there should be a link in the same place where you had the chance to hit the accept button. If that doesn't work you may have to either hit accept again or log back in and request me and then ask my another question so it will give you the ability to give me a tip.I can request the the info on re tipping if you don't see it on your end.You are absolutely right about the football game. And it being the giants against the patriots. It should be a good game. Now if we can just get you to root for the giants....I thought maybe I would try. Thanks again. Please let me know if you can't leave a tip and I will find out for you.
Ok Jon:
Tip coming your way. I am not a NY team hater (my father - from New York and still, at 87 favors them). I root for the Red Sox and Patriots but don't hate the NY teams. When I was a kid and Boston was still part of the old AFL, they broadcasted the Giants games (I remember Ernie Coy punted a lot and they weren't that good at that time - 1966-67).
Tom Couglin is a class guy and old school. Eli's hot and the Giants, overall, have the more balanced and complete team. It doesn't mean they'll win, but it looks good for them. Of course, the Patriots were the super team in 2007 and were supposed to cream the Giants. We know what history recorded. No guarantees. You have to play the game.
Thanks again for everything.
thank you for the possitive feedback and for the very generous tip. it is greatly appreciated.lets hope this Sundays game is a good one.please let me know if you need anything else with this machine or any other one you might be having problems with. or at least need an answer for.thanks again.
