I have a Kitchenaide dishwasher model KUDP01FL. The machine will not start. The green "clean" light is flashing 7 times. This has occurred once before. The solution was to press the control panel buttons in a manner that reset the machine but I cannot remember the sequence or which buttons.

Hello, my name is Dave. The blinking clean light indicates that there was a problem heating the water. It may be the water was too cold or it could be a problem with the heater or door switch in series with the heat circuit. To restore your DW to operation as you know is to run the diagnostic cycle. Here is how to enter and advance through.
To start diagnostics, press the following keys in order in less than 6 seconds

High Temp Scrub (Power Scour) , Air Dry, High Temp Scrub (Power Scour) , Air Dry

If there really is a problem in the heat circuit the clean light may begin to blink again after you use it a while. If there is a problem it won't be long and the clean light will be blinking again. Please ask if you have additional questions.
