i have a dishdrawer ny fisher paykel and for some time now when washing the unit seems to freeze in time at 48 min left in the cycle. you can push power, open drawer (steam comes out) and select rinse and continue, if you dont do this, it will continue to run at 48 min left for a long time, until eventually F4 displays. Steam comes out when you open the drawer. it does this every time
Optional Information: Make: fisher paykel Model: dd 602ss? Already Tried: unit is approx 3 years old, havent tried much, also always noticed a bit of water always in the bottom drawer. thanks
F4 indicates a faulty temperature sensor or element
i knew that, what i need to know is what does that mean, obviously the element is working or the steam wouldnt be coming out, do you think the problem is that the sensor is not recognizing that the unit is heating up? is it fairly common for this sensor to act up or is it usually a connection problem, what am i looking for? is this sensor located by the control board?
Try this:Remove metal plate at bottom & scrub with a toothbrush. Clean arms as well.Clean all around the door & pull out the lift out filter, scrub clean with a toothbrush.
so is the temp sensor located by the metal plate? why would i need to clean around the door and the arms (you mean spray arms?) what would that have to do with the temp sensor, not that i wont do that, justs wondering how that relates to the temp sensor? once again where is that temp sensor?
Clean the filter and yes that is where the sensor is
great, so if i clean that sensor this unit should start functioning properly, if not i guess i need to ck the connections from the board to the sensor? but that sensor should be accessable from under the drawer or ck the connection at the main control located behind the front of the door?
It may start working properly and may not.....yes checking the connections would be a good idea but if the element is working then u will prob have to replace the sensor
