Ok.... so i am at wits end.....I have a Maytag Centennial top load HE washing machine. The other day a jug of laundry detergent fell off the shelf and broke off the main knob - almost down to the circuit board. I was able to glue the dial rod back on and it does rotate and still click. here in lie's the problem... there is no indicator on the board to be able to tell what cycle the washer is in ( have ran all 12 clicks to try and tell the difference-have it narrowed down to a couple spots to start off of.) the other is no matter what spot the washing maching is at and a cycle run - it senses, loads the water , and drains, but does not appear to go through any type of washing or spin cycle. the washer will just stop and the "wash" light will remain lit. even the "lid locked" light will go off. is there a reset that i can do on the machine ? is there a way to tell what cycle i am on ? sears is saying that its a $124 just to walk through the door. and am scared to find out what a replacement circuit board and repair fee would be.....please help ....Jesse
Optional Information: Make: maytag Model: Centennial Already Tried: -ran all 12 clicks to try and narrow down which cycle its on. -put a few towels in so it can sense clothes and try and run a cycle. -washer remains on "wash" after it attempts to run the cycle -does not appear to be washing or rinsing - no matter what cycle am on -after it attempts for a while the wash light stays on and machine stops- even the lid locked light goes off.

Not quite there. There is no part like that under the "hood" of my washing machine. the part the knob was connected to is a switch the size of a quarter that is sodered to a circuit board. The circuit board is the only thing under neath the panel. any other ideas?
Hmmm for some reason one of my parts suppliers shows a timer for that model the other shows a control board.Ok follow the video that shows how to access the control panel, The control board will be held in by a couple of screws. At this point is will be a matter of swapping wires from old to new control boards.Click here to order the partBy installing the part yourself you will save the sears call out fee plus labor :)Mike
