hi,it should give you a reading of 0.5

reading on the LCD should swing from 0.00 Ohms to "OL" A thermostat with NO contacts should eventually close, and the LCD readout should swing from "OL" to 0.00 Ohms. If the thermostat does not respond in this way, it is bad and needs to be replaced

Using the industrial hot air gun, apply heat to the thermostat.

the thermastat has a reading of 0.5

did not apply heat gun yet

simce everything else checks out fine i would suggest that it be replaced
