I have a 2yr old dishwasher, model(NNN) NNN-NNNN The front panel has no lights and no functions operate. Power is getting to the board and door switch (I replaced the board with no success). Are there test points for me to find out which sensor is stopping the unit from working? Thx
Optional Information: Make: Kenmore Model: XXX.XXXX Already Tried: replaced control Board. tested fuse for continuity, tested both door switches for continuity. Tested for power to the board.
Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.I'd check your fuse again. Disconnect the wires to the fuse when you're testing continuity. Aside from that, only the control board or a shorted wire in the junction box (like your neutral wire or power wire) can cause this problem. The door switch would NOT stop the touchpad stop working so there is no point in testing those switches.
Thanks Appliance Doc, I retested the fuse and it is operating fine. I also measure fine on the hot and neutral to the board. Are there any sensors that would affect the touch panel? I did get the cancel/drain button to start the pump after pushing the door latch plate down as much as possible. But nothing else is working.
unfortunately not. The fuse would cut power from everything if it was bad and even the drain button wouldn't work do that rules out the fuse for sure. The touchpad will just need to be replaced because you don't replace the buttons on the touch control panel---it's all one assembly.
