Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.

So the control board isn't actually the problem for this issue. The left side burners can be removed to install a grill insert. When the grill insert is installed the fan will come on any time the grill is in use. Basically, your cooktop thinks you have the grill installed.

The way the oven detects if you have burners or if you have a grill installed is by a small micro switches just inside the control panel. If you remove the burner insert you will see a metal rod that goes through the front of the burner cavity when you install the burner insert. For some reason that tiny micro switch isn't sensing this rod.

Generally this is because the switch has become loose and you just need to tighten up the screws and re-mount the switch. If the switch isn't loose, then the metal arm that is attached to the switch is just bent and needs to be bent back into shape.
