if you have a freeview box
tuning takes place in the box not the tv
the tv will be set to some input depends on how you hooked it up
do not scan ch with the tv
use the freeview box to do that
well first we need to know what input the box is hooked to
then we need to select the input from the tv that coresponds to the box
then well see the box menu
ok on the LG tv menu
with the box turned on
selcet the HDMI input source
it may be highlighted if the tv recognizes the box
One moment I will try to find the this source now
ok i found the hdmi scorce what do i do next
do you see anything from the box on the screen?
there are more than 1 hdmi's
find the one that goes to the box
check the tv back if you have to
see which one its plugged into
I have selected hdmi 1
and is the box connected to HDMI 1 in back of the tv?
if it is not and HDMI 1 is not used
put it there
it is connected into the tv
in hdmi 1?
and you selected hdmi 1
so if you turn the freeview box ON
you should see something
try to change the channels on the freeview remote
try to press MENU on the freeview remote
NOT THE LG
the menu on the freeview remote is responding
so now do a channel scan in that menu
sorry was meant to say freeview remote is NOT responding
says no signal
the the box is not working
is it plugged in?
do you see a power indicator?
yes is is plugged in the box is working
yes i see the blue power light
and you are in HDMI 1 on the tv
and the back of the box the HDMI cable is plugged into the tv
to HDMI 1?
try hdmI 2 ON THE TV
move the cable in back of the tv to HDMI 2
double check the hdmi cable is connected in the back of the box

i done that... has made no change still seeing no signal
do you have a dvd player with hdmi?

give them a few secs
none of them see this box?

ive tried all those inputs and none found the box
unplug the tv
plug it back in and try again
you either have a bad box

a bad cable
or a bad main board in the tv
you do not own any other HDMI devices?
we have no way to isolate the issue
without testing with something else
do you have another HMDI cable?
ok it seem you can not provide a solution
not without tools and other things to test with
you are in a bad situation without having something to substitue a suspected bad device with
there is NO SOLUTION and you are just going to run around in circles
unless you replace something
