Can you post the model number please.
Also has it stopped full of water?
hi the model number is awod8727 it did stop with half of the water I have empted the bit at the bottom and some money came out but still saying service
Ok if you reset the washer and start a wash cycle on a spin only do you hear the pump kick in?
If not is there a slight humming noise from the bottom?
yes the spin is trying but not working and there is a huming sound and it also sounds like a very quiet aeroplane taking off, I know that sounds silly but it is the only way I can explain
Ok what you may find is the pump is blocked up.
What you need to do is again remove the filter form the bottom
But this time inside the chamber the filter goes in and at the back you will see the pump impeller X shape.
Check theres nothing stuck in there stopping the impeller from turning. If its stiff to turn and theres nothing in there then the pump is at fault and needs to be replaced.
Once its all clear refit the filter and retry the washer and see how it goes from there.
Let me know what happens.
I will do that thanks is it at the front of machine and also how much would pump cost
Yep the filter is at the bottom behind the plastic cover.
A new pump is roughly £40 But you can sometimes get a non genuine pump a bit cheaper. But if you take the pump to your local spares shop they will check it for you.
how would I take the pump out also how can I keep your information whilst I am trying to fix it will it go to my email
If you need to remove the pump what I do is pull the washer out and lean it backwards against a wall and then you can remove the screws you will see holding the pump on and then you can access it from underneath the washer. Remove the hoses on the pump and then you can take it out from there.
But just check the impeller first as you don't need to remove the pump to access this. You just remove the filter at the bottom.
will I be able to get back to you when I come off this page
Yes you will have an email and on there is a link click on there and you will come to this thread.
thank you very much
