Can you post the model number please.
Also have you noicted the salt level is dropping over time so you need to top it up?
Model is Aquasave dws 939
Yes always keep filling salt up.
Ok if the salt is ok and theres rinse aid in there or you use all in 1 tablets then the fault is going to be with the water softner unit.
This is called an IWMS and is on the left hand side. You need to remove the left side panel to access this.
With this off you will see a big plastic filling tank. This is the part at fault. As in there is the water softner and regeraration valves. These control how much salt is used and if its staying open all the time it will put to much salt in there and cause the fault you have.
Now to cure this the IWMS will need to be replaced and that should cure the fault here.
If you need anymore info just get back to me.
Have now managed to get an engineir out and he said all I had to do was turn the diel on the left hand side. No taking off panels.
As a disabled person I was not able to do what you required myself so had the added expence of calling in an expert.
That doesn't sound right. As all the dial does is adjust the salt chamber. It shouldn't go cloudy like it was on any setting.
It is now perfectly o.k. Yes I would have left a low rating as it was so long until I could afford an engineer to come out and to be told that is all it is, I could have done that myself had you told me that is all I had to do.
Again from the info you gave me this doesn't sound like its anything to do with what the engineer has done.
As if it was getting a white haze its usually the water softner not working. That's why I never said about that part.
Quite happy with the engineer who came out and the problem was solved within minutes, and have continued to use machine with no problem, would you like me to leave a low score or just not bother?
