Good morning ,
We have a Neff dishwasher S51M53X0GB/26 which has put up a fault code E01
Can you please advise

Hi Brian
Unfortunately this error code is extremely vague on Neff dishwashers, it can be one of many different problems.

To help me, can yu tell me at what point this happens and what is the machine trying to do at the time the code appears. Also, is there water left in the machine?

The machine was standing plugged in but not set and was being loaded during the day,we noticed the code when we came to set it for an over night wash.

Thats really strange that it came up with an error when it wasnt in use. Unfortunately it doesnt help with the diagnosis either, sorry.

Can you disconnect the power for 10 minutes ( Not just turning it off at the dishwasher).
Then try to start a new cycle and tell me step by step what happens

Off at socket for over 10 min, switched on and E01 returns

Did a pump run at all, even momentarilly?

If you open the door, can you see water sitting in the base of the machine?

The machine cannot be set to run so there is no movement from the pump and no water in the base of the machine.


It had completed its last wash perfectly and the code only appeared when we went to set it and has prevented us from entering a program.
