SparePartspro :

Thank You for using JustAnswer - My name is Tony and I am more than happy to help with your question today.

On one face of the seal you will find that to be magnetic so that has to fit flush against the door closure.
So when the seal is fitted to the door correctly that magnetic face will outer most.
On some models the inner door panel has to be removed so that the seal can be fitted properly.
Can you post back a model number.

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

sure ZFC 56 L type B 236400

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

is that enough information

SparePartspro :

OK let me see what I can find.

SparePartspro :

When you removed the old seal did you have to cut it away or was it possible to pull it free as a complete unit.

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

no just pulled free as a complete unit

SparePartspro :

And the new seal is identical to the old one.

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

im tempted to take all screws out and remove the panel what do you think

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

yes came from electrolux it is a replacement

SparePartspro :

Yes if the inner panel has screws then this is what you need to do.
The seal is sandwiched between the inner door panel and the door.
The lip on the under side of the seal will fit under the outer edge of the inner door panel.

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

ok will do that now

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

hi i have now done that and the fridge back working thank you for your help

JACUSTOMER-c7eje7kt- :

a bit slow but worth the wait!!!

SparePartspro :

Glad to hear it all worked out for you.
Good look with the appliance.

regards Tony
