you have a defrost issue the airways from the freezer to the fridge have become frozen and the cold air from the freezer cannot reach the fridge to cool it down and thats why the freezer is getting colder a temp fix is to unplug it long enough to thaw out the frozen coil in the false wall in the freezer section
once the ice is gone the unit will start to function and work for a about 7 days until it builds up again if the unit is not running a defrost cycle it will happen again ..
and a service engineer will have to deal with it but the prob is relativly minor ...
but most def a big inconvenience
the alarm will stop when the temp reaches where it sould be
also look on the panal for a silence alarm hold for 3 secs button
Hello Anthony I now know how to turn off the alarm after searching internet in the early hours. What I need to know is why the fridge is reading 8c instead of the 4c and even if i reduce to 4 on the control pad the temperature will not come down . 8c is too high for a fridge. the freezer keeps rising to 22c even after i reduce it to 20c. So why is fridge too warm is it a control fault. Its obviously not the condenser as the freezer still works. something is making the fridge warmer and the freezer colder.
becuase the air from the freezer cannot reach the fridge either due to an obstruction or a fan that is not running
the cooling system is in the freezer and that works
you have to channel air to the fridge
unless its a TWIN COOL model
then there are 2 evaps and 1 condensor
unplugging and defrostimg for a day will fix it
bu it will happen again
unless you find the problem in the defrost cycle and repair it
I need a MODEL number in order to be anymore specific
thank you I think it is best I call an engineer from what you say as you cannot keep unplugging the fridge.
the model number is NR-B53V1
This is an eco unit and it uses an Inverter system BY ALL MEANS call an engineer its a different animal then most are even use to
