Customer Question

I have a valliant Eco plus 824, I bled the radiators to take one of the wall to do some decorating. When I repressurised the system, the radiators work fine but the hot water comes on in a trickle then not at all. It's initially hot but then temperature disappears. Tap symbol on boiler never appears, help?

Do you have a cylinder?

No
It's a combi boiler

When you turned off the water, did you turn off the house or just the supply to the boiler?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
To the boiler

It sounds like the feed to the boiler has not turned on correctly, did it take log to refill the heating?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Can you see if you can turn the cold water on and off a couple of times and see if it lets the water through faster?

It does then slowly dies away

Either the valve is not opening fully or the inlet filter is blocked, can you feel it moving when you turn it on and off?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
What valve?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 3 years ago.
The one you turned off when you isolated the boiler
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Got it! Dodgy valve, wiggled it and turned it and finally seems to have fixed it you win. Thanks!

Woo hoo!
Just bear that in mind if you do it again
