Hi there. My name is Daniel and I will try and help you.
Before we go any further, please could you give me the model number.
Off the top of my head, a burning rubber smell on a microwave is quite often the Rectifier burning.
Model is HF26056 and is built in with main oven.
I am currently trying to find a place where you can purchase a replacement. Please bear with me.
Does this mean I need a new microwave or just a replacement part.
I am struggling to find anywhere that sells this part.
Sadly, this means that it is probably time to buy a new microwave.
Can you say how much this will cost, or would it be worthwhile contacting Siemens who might be ablebto replace the part, but if not they will still charge me £89, which as a senior citizen I can ill afford. Advice please.
Rectifier usually aren't too dear. Usually around about the £10 mark.
I will contact Siemens and tell them of the faulty part snd see of it can be replaced.
No problem. Please feel free to come back to me should you need any more advice.
Also, if you feel I have helped you, please rate my answer positively as this is how I earn for my efforts :)
Please come back to me and let me know what Siemens say. I would be very interested.
Just wondered if you have had any luck with Siemens?
