The fan oven on my Falcon 1092 all electric (ceramic Hob) isnt

Customer Question

The fan oven on my Falcon 1092 all electric (ceramic Hob) isn't heating - fan works and indicator light is on. Have just replaced element but it's made no difference. The plastic covers on the terminals connected to the cut-off thermostat (Falcon's terminology) are blackened and brittle although the wires themselves appear fine. Would this indicate a problem with the cut-off thermostat?
Hope you can help,
Martin

Good morning,

Yes that would certainly indicate the T Stat is bad and needs to be replaced.

These are notorious for that problem.

What has happened is that the T Stat is no longer making any contact internally therefore, no fan lol:-)

The best place to get that part is listed below (link).

Also I have included the phone # for your convenience.

I would call them to be sure they send the correct part, its always better to speak with a parts rep.

Thank you
