I have a Hotpoint BF1620 dishwasher which is not washing.

When I choose a setting... Show More
When I choose a setting and close the door it starts as normal but then a few minutes later it stops and the eco light and the light pan wash are flashing. I have tried switching it off at the mains and it seems to reset itself but then the same thing happens again.

Hiya,
If you number the program lights with 1 on the left, which numbers are flashing?
.
Thanks

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.
.
When the machine has filled, does it begin washing?
Do you hear the water being sprayed around?
.
Thanks
Customer reply replied 3 years ago.

Yes it seems to start as normal and you can hear the water.

Techdesk, Service Engineer replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.
.
The 2 lights flashing are indicating a fault in the heating circuit.
As you can hear it washing, it can't be a faulty circulation motor.
.
There are 2 common causes of the fault, a faulty heater or a faulty control board.
.
You would need to test the heater and wiring with a multimeter, if ok, it's more than likely the control board.
.
If you can't test the heater or can't do the work yourself, sorry, you'll need someone in to sort it out for you.
.
Check it out, see what you find and get back to me.
.
Hope this helps
Thanks
